Biafra and Nigeria, the Way Forward.
It is no longer news
that the charges against the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) can
not stand the test of time or be substantiated in the court of competent
jurisdiction by Nigeria Government. The earlier decision of the presiding
Judge, justice Binta Nyako has shown that Nigeria Government has no case
against the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. 6 out of
the 11 count charges against Mazi Nnamdi
Kanu have been struck out. And
the remaining 5 can not be substantiated because in the words of the Judge,
“The evidence before this honourable court presented by the DSS is only the
broadcasting audio of Nnamdi Kanu when he was broadcasting on Radio Biafra”. In
view of this statement, it is crystal clear that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has no case
with Nigeria Government.
The motor of his
supporters “is Biafra or Death”. The question million of people are asking now is,
why keeping him in the prison custody since 14th of October, 2015.
Therefore, it is time for Nigeria Government to realize how urgent it is to let
Nnamdi Kanu go because this case now requires political solution. However, it is paramount to know that Mazi
Nnamdi Kanu has the absolute right to seek for justice over the violation of
his fundamental human rights by Nigeria Government.
The only way forward is the immediate and
unconditional release of this innocent man; whose crime is that he is not
comfortable with the suffering of his people. Biafra is a blessed land by God, but
ironically it has become a curse to them. The people that suppose to be master
are now slaves. Therefore, this is the time for negotiation and political solutions that will change
the life of his people. If you strongly support this article please hit like
